Mara and Motoko are sure to delight young audiences with beloved children's music, original songs and popular picture books brought to life with music. Each musician brings an abundance of experience and together this duo will inspire, engage and entertain children and families.
We offer a variety of specialized performances and classes perfect for libraries, school enrichment programs, preschools, daycare centers, parks and recreation departments, farmers markets, festivals and more! Our programs are interactive, imaginative and will keep your child moving as we create music and memories together.
Meet Mara and Motoko
Mara Stewart
Mara is an experienced performer, teaching artist, director, and choreographer. She has spent the past six years working with children in performing arts education, including virtual theatre classes and camps. Mara is passionate about music, working with kids, and fostering a creative and safe learning environment for all students. Mara received a BFA in Musical Theatre from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina, and has performed professionally throughout Chicago and the D.C. Metro area. Some of her favorite performance roles include Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, The White Witch in Narnia, and Winnifred in Once Upon a Mattress.
Motoko Sully
Motoko began her musical journey at the age of four in Japan, her teacher and mentor Noriyuki Miyazawa is the president of the Sapporo Conservatoire who's expert instruction led her to win several consecutive competitions including a silver medal and two high awards at the national Japanese PTNA competition. At eighteen she left Japan to further her studies at the prestigious Berklee college of music in Boston. She has been delighting audiences and offering her instruction ever since with hundreds of students feeling a deeper love for the art of music in greater Boston area.
